Ananya has taken the brunt of the nepotism controversy ever since she made her acting debut in Student of the Year, which was supported by Karan Johar. “There is a fine line between feedback and negative trolling,” Ananya explains in reference to handling the criticism. I am okay with receiving criticism as long as it is constructive. I always agree when someone says “you can do this” or “do this in a different way.” Never in my life do I want to stop growing and learning. As an actor, you have to be flexible, but when it comes to trolling, I try not to pay too much attention to it.
Ananya responds, “As a person, it impacts me more than it does as an actor. Social media trolling affects me as a human being. Actors are humans too, something people often forget. It therefore affects me, but I believe it would effect everyone. But I’m not going to sit here and feel sorry for myself.”
